# poly.army > A lifestyle project about polyamory: loving more than one person at the same time, with everyone involved knowing and agreeing. Written for people who recognise the feeling but have never had a word for it, including people with no partners at all. poly.army exists because most writing about polyamory online is either apologetic or assumes the reader already knows the vocabulary. The project treats polyamory as ordinary rather than remarkable, and distinguishes it clearly from swinging and open relationships: those are about sex outside a relationship, polyamory is about love. The site is currently a single manifesto page. Articles, interviews, a glossary of terms and translations into other languages are planned. ## Pages - [Manifesto](https://poly.army/): What polyamory is, who it is for, what it looks like day to day, and what recognition would mean. ## Positions - Polyamory is distinct from polygamy, swinging and open relationships. - For many people it is closer to who they are than to something they chose, though this framing is debated within the community. - You do not need partners, a label or a group to be poly. - The project asks for everyday social recognition rather than legal change. ## Contact - Website: https://poly.army
